Due to our expansion, we have moved some shelving locations around that may not be familiar for those that have not visited with the library in a while.
Adult Nonfiction, including biographies & general nonfiction have now been moved upstairs to our Carnegie floor. Our upper level also includes our Novelty Nook & Toy Box items, our Indiana Author section, and the entirety of the Local History/Genealogy Department. You can also find newspapers, magazines, & our coal mine records in the upstairs gallery.
In our main Adult Fiction section, all of our adult aged fiction titles, along with the new adult Spanish section, sits immediately in front of our Circulation desk. Our Large Print titles are just to the west side of the Adult Fiction section. This same area also includes, DVDs, Paperbacks (moved down from upstairs), ACDs (books on audio), and the Young Adult section, including graphic novels and manga.
Our Youth Department consists of 4 rooms. The room just off the elevator holds our Teen Room and has our Young Fiction titles. Next to the Teen Room is the Play Room. The Play Room has our magnet board, playhouse, play ice cream stand, baby board books, and an activities sink. The room in the far corner is our Kids room, containing all our J Fic titles and our grades 3-5 range. This corner room also has all our Youth nonfiction and the Junior DVDs. In the main Youth Room is our K-2 Level Readers and picture books.
